How does it work?

The reed sensor comprises two thin, ferromagnetic reed switch contacts housed within a protective case. When a magnetic field from a source such as a magnet encounters the contacts, they attract each other, thereby closing an electrical circuit. This alteration in the magnetic field prompts the sensor to discern the presence or absence of the magnetic field, enabling precise detection of the opening or closing of doors, windows, or other moving objects across diverse applications.
