The NEO-6M GPS Module provides real-time positioning and navigation capabilities for various applications. It is built around the u-blox NEO-6M GPS receiver and is widely used in projects like drones, vehicle tracking systems, and other location-based applications. This GPS module gives your projects and robots the ability to sense their location anywhere in the world with uses that include but are not limited to Autonomous Robots, data logging and mapping to name a few.

How It Works:

• The NEO-6M V2 GPS module uses its built-in ceramic antenna to capture signals from GPS satellites. It needs at least four satellites for accurate positioning, with more satellites improving precision. The module calculates the distance to satellites using signal travel time and applies trilateration to determine its exact location in longitude, latitude, and altitude.
• Once the position is established, the module sends this data via a UART (TX/RX) interface to external devices, like microcontrollers, in NMEA format, which includes time, position, and speed for easy interpretation.

Use this GPS module with the ESP32,  STM32 or Teensy microcontrollers.
