Connectivity:
The PMS5003 sensor can be interfaced with a range of microcontrollers using the UART protocol. Simply connect the TX/RX pins of your controller to the TX/RX pins of the sensor. Use this sensor with microcontrollers such as the ESP32, Teensy or Arduino microcontrollers. Please note a logic level shifter is required to interface this sensor with a microcontroller that uses 5V logic levels such as an Arduino Uno.
Microcontrollers such as the following can be used without a logic level shifter:
| STM32 “Black Pill” | Teensy4.0![]() | RP2040 Core Board

Uses:
- Air quality measurement devices
- Particulate matter research and analysis
- Indoor air quality assessment
Please Note:
- For outdoor applications, a vented enclosure undercover is recommended to protect the sensor from the elements.
- The TTL logic level for this sensor is 3.3V. If your microcontroller uses a logic level greater than 3.3V, you will need to use a logic level shifting module.
